A commission for *kimsol, a prize in the Watchers lottery I held a while back.
*kimsol asked me to do a photomanip including one of her stock photos hosted on *kimmy-k-stock account. I went one step further and used ONLY her stocks (and mine).
I find the idea original and the image well realized. The light is uniform in the whole picture and the shadows are good too. The old woman, with her flute gives a mysterious feeling to the whole image. I also like the moon and the perspective from the image.
The color profile and tonalities are well chosen making for a unitary image. Even though it has rather dark tones, it still has a pleasant atmosphere. The dark tones take up the most part of the image, but I still find the image balanced because of the moon in the background, the fire and the waterfall.
The image is a little bit melancholic and makes for a beautiful story.
